My attention has been drawn to a news report in social media purporting that I, Mr Kufre inima has resigned my appointment as a legislative aide to the Senate minority Leader, Godswill Akpabio due to his rumoured defection from the PDP to APC.

I wish to state here categorically, that this is fake news as the soul aim of this concocted news is to cause disaffection among members of this great family.

I hereby disassociate my self from such report, as I never thought of and has never resigned my appointment abinitio.

In this light, I advise the General public to disregard the said news. My loyalty to the Senate minority leader remains unshakable.

Sokoto plans three micro finance banks, SMEs’ bill

The Sokoto State Government says it plans to establish three micro finance banks as well as a small and medium enterprises development agency to promote entrepreneurship among the people of the state. Speaking when he received members of the Small and Medium Scale Rice Millers Association in Sokoto  Tuesday , Governor Aminu Tambuwal said the Sokoto State Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency Bill had been presented to the state House of Assembly for passage into law. A statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Imam Imam, on Tuesday, stated that Tambuwal gave the names of the proposed three micro finance banks as Giginya, Fodiyo and Gudale. Imo Assembly Impeaches Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere

The Imo State House of Assembly has impeached the Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere. He was impeached on today Monday, 30th July 2018 by 19 out of the 27 member-assembly. The Speaker of the House, Acho Ihim, said the impeachment followed the outcome of a report of a 7-man panel which was constituted by the Chief Judge of the state to investigate allegations of gross misconduct and abandonment of office by the Deputy Governor.
