Microcredit to the active poor women

Most time in my passionate career of providing microcredit to the active poor women, I come to a cross road of not been able to find the fund to extend to these most underserved deserving components of our society.

I then begin to worry about our government's lack luster attitude and then I get mad at the volume of corruption everywhere.

Extending N50,000 to 10 women for a tenor period of 16 weeks is just N1,000,000. These are monies our government officials and politicians spend lounging in 1 night. These money will improve the economy and pull 10 family out of poverty and the impact on national development will simply be a positive impact.

I call on partners who believe that poverty can be stamped out through provision of microcredit to the active poor women to take up this challenge for a positive national development.

Sokoto plans three micro finance banks, SMEs’ bill

The Sokoto State Government says it plans to establish three micro finance banks as well as a small and medium enterprises development agency to promote entrepreneurship among the people of the state. Speaking when he received members of the Small and Medium Scale Rice Millers Association in Sokoto  Tuesday , Governor Aminu Tambuwal said the Sokoto State Small and Medium Enterprises Development Agency Bill had been presented to the state House of Assembly for passage into law. A statement by the Governor’s Chief Press Secretary, Imam Imam, on Tuesday, stated that Tambuwal gave the names of the proposed three micro finance banks as Giginya, Fodiyo and Gudale. Imo Assembly Impeaches Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere

The Imo State House of Assembly has impeached the Deputy Governor, Prince Eze Madumere. He was impeached on today Monday, 30th July 2018 by 19 out of the 27 member-assembly. The Speaker of the House, Acho Ihim, said the impeachment followed the outcome of a report of a 7-man panel which was constituted by the Chief Judge of the state to investigate allegations of gross misconduct and abandonment of office by the Deputy Governor.
